Virginia Square
On Saturday, the Arlington County Board unanimously approved Virginia Square Towers, a 534-residential project that will be part of Virginia Square in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, the Sun Gazette recently reported.
The 2.4-acre project site is located along the south side of Fairfax Drive between N. Lincoln Street and N. Kansas Street (map). Virginia Square Towers will be two buildings – one 13-stories with 399 units and one six-stories with 135 units. It will feature 12,815 square feet of ground floor retail, 630 underground parking spaces, a public plaza and the two buildings will be connected by a glass sky walk. The project is being developed by Dittmar Company, which is aiming for Gold LEED certification.
A timeline as to when construction would start was not included with news of the board approval, but we will keep an ear out for more news about the project.
