What $1,500 Rents You in DC
This week in What X Rents You, UrbanTurf looked in the $1,500 a month range and found a variety of choices for prospective renters in DC with this monthly budget.

A Studio Fit For All The President’s Men
Calling all Bob Woodward fans. A studio just opened up in Webster House, the Dupont Circle building that was The Washington Post reporter’s home when he was breaking open the Watergate scandal in the early 1970’s. While Woodward paid just $115 a month for his studio, these days units in the building go for more than ten times that much. This one has been renovated and has built-ins, a modern kitchen and new floors. For an extra $99/month, the studio can come with basic furnishings, and the building also has a rooftop pool.

Two-Bedroom Apartment Near the Action in Takoma Park
This 800 square-foot two-bedroom is located a five-minute walk from Takoma Park’s main drag and not far from downtown Silver Spring. Well maintained, the ground-floor unit has shiny hardwood floors, a deck, a new kitchen, air conditioning, and it comes with off-street parking. Flower Avenue is busy, but still has Takoma Park’s leafy, suburban feel.

The Dutch Sublet in a U Street Row House

For $1,400 a month starting on December 1, you can have a room in a 1,200 square foot, two-level two-bedroom row house, sharing the space with two World Bankers from the Netherlands. The bedroom is upstairs, offering a bit of privacy from the common areas downstairs. The home is renovated and sunny, with a large living room and a second floor terrace.
