Tuesday’s Deal of the Week

by Mark Wellborn

This week’s Deal of the Week is a two-bedroom-plus-den corner unit in the heart of the U Street Corridor that may be the best-priced new condo of its size in the neighborhood. The 1,200 square-foot property at the Solea has floor-to-ceiling windows, downtown views, a den that could easily serve as a third bedroom and a garage parking space. The price was recently reduced by $50K, making the unit just $414 per square foot. (Compare that to over $500, which is common in the U Street Corridor.) More photos and info below. Place looks very good for the money. A parking space is a key amenity in that area.

Not a good place for a single woman living alone.  A little too close to ground level, everyone can see in.  Paranoid, me?

Shades/curtains are the easy fix if you are worried about someone looking in on you. Plus it is on the second floor.

Heh, click through to the listing. No reason for anyone to be concerned when you have full “protection” at the “SOLEA CONDOM”.

    Unfortunate truncation of the name.
