In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a two-bedroom that takes up the full floor of a row house on U Street, a five-bedroom Arts and Crafts home in DC’s sleeper neighborhood, and a farmhouse in Del Ray.

Two-Bedroom on Floor of Row House Between Dupont and Adams Morgan

This two-bedroom unit straddles the border of Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan on U Street. While the square footage is not high, the layout takes up the entire first floor of a converted row house. There is a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, 10-foot ceilings and rental parking is available in the back of the property. Because the doors from the second bedroom open into the living room, it may work best for a couple that wants a home office.

  • Full listing: 1751 U Street NW, #2 (map)
  • Price: $439,900
  • Bedrooms: Two
  • Bathrooms: One
  • Square Footage: 748
  • Listing Agent: David Sprindzunas, Central Properties

Five-Bedroom Arts and Crafts Home in DC’s Sleeper Neighborhood

UrbanTurf coined it DC’s sleeper neighborhood about a year ago and now folks are referring to 16th Street Heights as such! However, the use of the term to market this home is not why we chose it as a Best New Listing this week. The five-bedroom Arts and Crafts home has a number of cool aspects, including a wrap-around front porch, high ceilings, a remodeled kitchen, and a fully-finished lower level. There is also a detached garage and a large backyard that will likely be attractive to families that find homes in neighborhoods west of Rock Creek Park out of their price range.

  • Full listing: 1412 Delafield Place NW (map)
  • Price: $769,000
  • Bedrooms: Five
  • Bathrooms: 4.5
  • Year Built: 1907
  • Listing Agent: Lucinda Treat, Evers & Company

Del Ray Farmhouse With Expansive Stone Patio

Like the 16th Street Heights home above, this farmhouse in Del Ray has features like an old fashioned front porch and an updated kitchen, but what caught our eye was the backyard and stone patio that looks like it is fit for entertaining when the temperature drops below 100 degrees. The four-bedroom property sits on a third of an acre, which is rare for the northern Virginia neighborhood, and the listing also comes with a two-bedroom attached garage.
