6,500 Square-Foot Forest Hills Mansion Hits the Market For $10 Million
3134 Ellicott Street NW
A massive estate off Connecticut Avenue has joined the ranks of the priciest homes for sale in the District.
3134 Ellicott Street NW (map), a six-bedroom home that might bring to mind Michael Corleone’s Lake Tahoe house, hit the market late last week for $10 million. The property was purchased in 2012 for $4.24 million, and then underwent a multi-million dollar renovation.

The Great Room.
Sited on over an acre of land in one of DC’s more-secluded neighborhoods, the home’s centerpiece is a 34-foot-by-20-foot great room that leads out to a terrace and pond. The listing has the expected trappings of a home priced this high in DC, including a wine cellar, sauna, exercise room, and a very large pool. There is also a two-bedroom guesthouse and a three-car garage.
Foyer
Listed by Washington Fine Properties, the home is now the third most expensive listing for sale in DC, behind a Ritz-Carlton penthouse and a mansion on Woodland Drive.
