Where in the DC Area Are You Paying Above List Price?
Last week, UrbanTurf, with the help of RealEstate Business Intelligence, provided a rundown of the top five DC zip codes with the highest average sales-to-original-list-price ratio for homes that sold in 2013. The ratio is one of the better indicators of areas in DC where homes are regularly selling for above their asking price.
At the request of a number of readers, we dug into the data and found the ten zip codes in DC, Maryland and Virginia with the highest average sales-to-original-list-price ratio for homes that sold so far this year. RBI’s Corey Hart confirmed that if if a zip code has a 98.5 to 99.5 percent sales-to-original-list-price ratio, a number of homes are selling for above asking price in that area.
