The Best Listing of the Year For Well-Paid Lobbyists
The glass atrium at 4213 Lenore Lane NW
The home that currently sits on a half-acre at 4213 Lenore Lane in Forest Hills is a different property from what was built there in 1981. Originally designed by an Iranian architect, the seven-bedroom home was transformed a little over a decade ago with the goal of creating a property where sun filled every level in order to showcase the previous owners extensive glass art collection.
The 10,707 square-foot property has a massive wall of glass on the back of the house which, because the house is built into a hill, offers pretty stunning views of the Hillwood Estate grounds from each of the home’s three levels.
Lower-level deck
All of the rooms in the home open to angular decks, including a lower-level outdoor space that could accommodate 150 guests. When UrbanTurf wrote about this home soon after it was listed in June, we imagined that the eventual buyer would spend most their time looking out the window(s). It was purchased by Steve Routh and Tomoko Itoga at a slight discount from the original asking price in August. The couple, who live there with their four-year-old daughter, tell UrbanTurf that they love living among the trees and wildlife of Rock Creek Park, and are “trying to furnish the home in a manner befitting the setting.”
