Eastbanc's Plans for Two More Luxury Georgetown Condo Projects
Georgetown Exxon Station. By BoopBoopBoopBoop
Late on Friday, the Washington Business Journal’s Sarah Krouse reported that Eastbanc has plans in the works for two new Georgetown condo projects.
Krouse reports that the first planned project is a 35-37 unit, five-story development to be located at the site of the Exxon station at 3607 M Street NW (map), adjacent to the stairs that were made famous in the movie The Exorcist. Units will range in size from 1,800 to 2,200 square feet. The second project in the works is a nine-unit development at 1045 Wisconsin Avenue NW (map) that will have much larger (2,500 to 4,000 square feet) condos.
This news is just the latest in a slew of headlines about new residential development on the horizon for Georgetown.
In early February, it was reported at an ANC meeting that Eastbanc is back to planning to transform the Old Georgetown Post Office into a boutique condo development. Also, at the end of 2010, Georgetown Metropolitan got its hands on the plans for the proposed conversion of The Henry and Anne Hurt Home in Georgetown at 3050 R Street NW (map) into a 15-unit condo project.
Plans for the projects that the Washington Business Journal reported about on Friday have been submitted to the Old Georgetown Board for review, but it will likely be awhile before movement starts on either one.
