Capital Fringe Will Bring Theater Space, Beer Garden to Trinidad

The folks behind the Capital Fringe festival are under contract to purchase the CONNERSMITH gallery and offices at 1358-1360 Florida Avenue NE (map). The performing arts non-profit has plans to open a number of small theaters, an art gallery and even a beer garden at the address.
Capital Fringe will move its base to Florida Avenue NE from its current location near the intersection of New York Avenue and Sixth Street NW. CONNERSMITH will look for a smaller space somewhere withing the city limits.
While the Fringe Festival is an annual event, the new headquarters will operate year-round as a space for various performing arts.
