Best New Listings: Hill East Row House, Adams Morgan Condo, and Chevy Chase Rancher
In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a Hill East row house that has an ice chest which serves as a bathroom vanity, an Adams Morgan two-bedroom loft-like condo, and a six-bedroom 1961 rancher in Chevy Chase.

Ice Chest as a Bathroom Vanity at Hill East Two-Bedroom Row House
UrbanTurf was struck by a number of things in this Hill East home, including the heart of pine floors throughout the house and slate floors in the kitchen, the antique ice chest that serves as the bathroom vanity and the custom built-ins in the office and kitchen. We also liked the office nook upstairs, the bay windows and double closets in the master bedroom, and the fact that the soaking tub in the upstairs bathroom could easily fit two people.

- Price: $609,000

Two-Bedroom Around the Corner From Action of Adams Morgan
This Adams Morgan condo has a wall of large windows as well as loft-like elements, including exposed piping and high ceilings. The open living area separates the two bedrooms and two full baths and makes good use of the modest square footage. Of course, the real selling point (for some) is the location, as fans of Adams Morgan nightlife will be just around the corner from 18th Street.
- Full listing: 2301 Champlain Street NW, #110 (map)
- Price: $419,000
- Bedrooms: Two
- Bathrooms: Two
- Listing Agents: Jeffrey Lockard and Joseph Poduslo, TTR Sotheby’s International Realty

Six-Bedroom Rancher in Chevy Chase
Though the styling in this rambling six-bedroom rancher in Chevy Chase, MD is certainly a little particular, it also has some very cool rooms. From the cozy, wood-paneled den to the checkerboard-floored party room (see above) to the bright office with built-in shelves, every room in the house is maximized to fit a particular need. Many of the rooms also have a wall of windows with views of Rock Creek Park, and several open up to the home’s extensive terrace.

- Price: $929,900
- Bedrooms: Six

- Year Built: 1961
