The Glass Cube: Inside a David Jameson Contemporary That Will Hit the Market in Glen Echo
6415 Dahlonega Road
In a 2010 interview, local architect David Jameson was asked about his ideal client and he responded “One who welcomes challenge and is receptive to ideas.” The latter line of thinking is why homes like this contemporary Glen Echo four-bedroom now exist.
Living room
The home, which will be listed for sale privately later this week, is encased in a frame of weathered steel in a wooded lot just outside DC. Like most homes designed by Jameson, there is a contemporary centerpiece, which in this case is a glass cube on the home’s second level that is surrounded by an outdoor living space.

The glass cube
The main floor of the home is described by the architect as “veiled in stucco, acid etched, and transparent glass”, aspects that the owner takes advantage of to showcase her art collection.
Dining room
Other noteworthy aspects of the home include the hand-forged staircase connecting the first and second levels, and the property’s views of the Potomac River.
