10-Unit Residential Project Planned in Hill East

A 10-unit residential project is being planned above the Mexican restaurant La Lomita in Hill East, according to recently filed zoning documents. The new project at 1330-1336 Pennsylvania Avenue SE (map) would sit about 500 feet from the entrance to the Potomac Avenue Metro.
The developers of the project are the owners of La Lomita. The zoning documents state that “the applicant seeks to remain at its current location while providing a sorely needed update to its restaurant space and adding residential units above.”

As is the case with many residential projects these days, both big and small, the owners of La Lomita are requesting a variance from the five required parking spaces.
UrbanTurf will continue to update progress on this development as things move forward.
