WJLA's Gordon Peterson Puts Georgetown Home on the Market
2720 N Street NW
UrbanTurf has learned that longtime DC news anchor Gordon Peterson has put his Georgetown home up for sale.
If you have watched local news in this city over the past 30 years, chances are that you have seen Peterson deliver the day’s headlines at some point. Along with NBC’s Jim Vance, Peterson has one of the longest running tenures as a news anchor in this town. After 35 years working for WUSA-Channel 9, Peterson went to work for WJLA-Channel 7 in 2004 where he now anchors the 6pm local news.
Peterson’s East Village home was put on the market last week for $1.895 million. The row house features three bedrooms on the upper floors and a one-bedroom lower level suite. The home is decorated in a classic Georgetown style, but one thing prospective buyers will notice when they look at the virtual tour is the number of televisions; we counted four, as well as two computers.
Looks like if you are on TV, you never want to be too far from one.
