This Week's Find: Made for Entertaining in Cleveland Park
Though This Week’s Find has a modest exterior, the flowing, dramatic interior was designed with swanky entertaining in mind.
After a 2004 renovation, the main floor of this four-bedroom Cleveland Park home now seems well-suited for a cocktail party. Several conversation areas are scattered about, double doors open up to a large patio with its own sitting areas, and the dark beams and wood ceiling give the room a bit of a dramatic feel. The kitchen has a few stools that pull up to a bar, and the host can see the patio from the window over the sink. The finished basement also has a full wet bar.
3400 Porter Street NW, #0089
The bedrooms upstairs feel much more private (a permanent gate at the bottom of the stairs would seem to discourage guests from venturing up). One bedroom is currently being used as an office and has a custom desk that spans two walls. Outside, a large grassy lawn sits behind the patio, and a fence, hedges and large trees shield the lot from view.
It’s unclear if the tiger skin rug in the living room conveys. More details and photos below.
