This Week's Find: Luxury on Leroy Place
2113 Leroy Place NW
The 2100 block of Leroy Place in Kalorama is usually known for its one “celebrity” house. Specifically, the one that Top Chef contestants used when they were in DC, which was also owned by Jon Huntsman.
This Week’s Find a few doors down does not have any celebrity cachet (as far as we know), but it does have some luxury finishes and amenities to keep up with its neighbors.
Built in 1989, the four-story home has dramatic flourishes, like a grand staircase, and decadent comforts, like multiple living rooms and a padded room that could be used for exercise or consuming media. The dining room sits under a three-story atrium topped by a giant skylight. And naturally, it comes with an elevator.
This is the sort of home that lures lingering house guests: the top floor, accessible by the elevator, contains a guest suite complete with its own living room, entertainment area and wet bar.
