This Week's Find: A Woodridge Bungalow With a Low Price Tag and Potential
For This Week’s Find, UrbanTurf features a home in the Woodridge/Langdon area that is ripe for a renovation.
Since we reported on the active residents of Woodridge over a year ago, the once-vacant retail strip has been slowly filling up. A project from the folks behind Taylor Gourmet and a bike shop are planned for the area and, most recently, Zeke’s Coffee announced that they will be opening up on November 2nd at 2300 Rhode Island Avenue NE.
This home is located about half a mile from the coffee shop, and could be appealing to someone with the energy for a sizable renovation. The listing is up front about house’s status as a fixer-upper, but highlights the strong inherent features, like placement on a corner lot, proximity to the Rhode Island Avenue shops, and quality hardwood floors.
The price per square foot, at $122, is eye-poppingly low, and with six bedrooms and almost 3,000 square feet, there are many rooms that will need to be updated. But buyers who can afford to pay for a renovation could end up with quite a beautiful home.
The property hit the market two days ago. More details below.
- Address: 3002 Franklin Street NE (map)
- Price: $359,000
- Bedrooms: Six
- Bathrooms: Three
- Year Built: 1921
- Listing Agent: Delois Baskin, Excellent Realty
