The Laundry: Two Condos Remain at Fresh Capitol Hill Conversion
On Capitol Hill, a former commercial laundry has been converted into six casually elegant and modern condos. Though the interiors have been completely transformed, and three levels have been added to the original one-story building, charming details of the early 20th century industrial business—including a restored façade and original brick hallways—remain. The new residence, from developer Willco Residential, is aptly named the Laundry.
Now, just two of the six condos at the Laundry remain on the market. Located at 732 15th Street SE (map), the property will showcase the available penthouse and one bedroom residences with a craft beer tasting on Thursday, October 1st, between 5:00 and 7:00pm. No RSVP is necessary.
The penthouse residence, number six, is a two-bedroom and two-bath home featuring 20-foot ceilings and an expansive roof deck with views of the Washington Monument and Capitol Building. It is available for $649,900. The other remaining residence, number three, is a one-bedroom and one-bath with a large private balcony and 11-foot ceilings, available for $449,900.
Residences three and six are roughly 700 and 1,000 square feet, respectively. Condo fees are low at $252 for residence three and $344 for residence six, and buyers can take advantage of a $1,500 custom closet credit from Organized Living.
Both remaining residences feature Bosch appliances, Marblex Quartz countertops, oak hardwood flooring throughout, Nest thermostats and innovations like wireless speaker shower heads. All of the residences are designed for energy efficiency, natural light, comfort and privacy.
The Laundry is ideally located one block from the Potomac Avenue Metro station and walking distance to a variety of Capitol Hill and Southwest Waterfront favorites: Eastern Market, Lincoln Park, Barracks Row and the Navy Yard.
