Sponsored Post: UrbanLand Company Embraces Social Marketing
As print advertisements in magazines and the real estate section of newspapers begin to play second fiddle to more innovative online and social networking marketing techniques, one DC-based real estate company is leading the charge in embracing the evolution.
UrbanLand Company has taken to Facebook in an effort to not only attract fans, but market its properties as well as its brokerage arm.
To pump up its latest “fan recruitment” effort, the brokerage ran a lottery through its Facebook page where it gave away an iPad to one lucky fan on Monday April 12th.
The promotion did the trick — not only did the company double its fan base, but a forum of sorts started with people who anticipated being the winner.
“Our social media campaign has been a tremendous success,” said Gerard DiRuggiero, who founded UrbanLand in 2003. “I could have run ads in the newspaper for months and never gotten this kind of response. We’re always looking for new ways to sell and attract buyers, and the iPad was a fun way for us to give a little something back to the growing number of people in and around the city who follow us on Facebook.”
Aside from real estate, UrbanLand’s page offers everything from the scoop on a new neighborhood eatery to a hip new fragrance. That said, it also keeps fans up to date on new developments coming online, and UrbanLand agents are regularly providing interesting and helpful posts throughout the day as they travel the metro area helping buyers and sellers.
With the iPad giveaway such a huge success, DiRuggiero plans to do more of the same — offering giveaways of designer fashion accessories, popular new fragrances, and dinner at neighborhood hot spots. So, whether or not you are interested in real estate or DC in general, start following UrbanLand today!
