"If I Had $3 Million" Listing: Six-Bedroom Federal Rowhouse in Georgetown
This week’s If I Had $3 Million listing is a six-bedroom Federal rowhouse in Georgetown with quite a history behind it. Owned for many years by a diplomatic couple, the house has been the setting for a number of fancy dinner parties and rather unique soirees. For example, one New Year’s Eve in the 1960s, prominent Washingtonians and members of the diplomatic corps gathered for a “Black Tie and Swim Trunks” party at the property’s indoor pool. In 1974, actress Carol Burnett rented the home for several months while appearing with Rock Hudson in the play “I Do, I Do” at the Kennedy Center. With stories like this, it is not surprising that the home has not been on the market in 46 years. More details and photos below.
