Logan Circle Car Wash to Close, Making Way For 67-Unit Condo Project
The Mr. Wash car wash in Logan Circle will close this month as work begins on a 67-unit condo project at the 13th Street site.
Mr. Wash, the adjacent Jerry Chan’s Carry-Out and a garage at 1309-1313 13th St. NW (map) will make way for the six-story development. The Holladay Corporation is the developer on the project, according to a November article in The Dupont Current. Among other projects, Holladay Corporation developed The Matrix on 14th Street and the Car Barn on Capitol Hill.
An executive at Holladay told the Current that the plans were preliminary, though some work occurred at the site as early as last spring; the DC government issued a permit to allow the company to do initial work and analysis in May 2013.
It is unclear when work will start on the new project, but with the closing of the car wash, we imagine it will be soon. Stay tuned.
