DC’s Best Open Houses: Columbia Heights, Mount Pleasant and Capitol Hill
This weekend’s best open houses include a low priced two-bedroom condo in Columbia Heights with amazing views, a four-bedroom Tudor in Mount Pleasant with great bedrooms and an 1,800 square-foot boutique two-bedroom condo in Capitol Hill.
Low-Priced Two-Bedroom Condo in Columbia Heights with Amazing Views

1308 Clifton Street NW, #406 (see map here)
Originally listed a year ago for $410,000, it is hard to believe that a unit this nice is back on the market at a lower price. The two-bedroom, fourth-floor condo in Columbia Heights has amazing views of downtown and two balconies from which to take those views in. There is also a large gourmet kitchen with a breakfast bar, a very sunny living area with a long desk space against one wall and two spacious renovated bedrooms. A parking space comes with the unit and there is a workout room in the basement. The open house is Sunday, October 25th from 1 to 4pm. For the full listing, click here.
Four-Bedroom Tudor in Mount Pleasant with Great Bedrooms

1750 Hobart Street NW (see map here)
A few weeks ago, we featured a four-bedroom home in Mount Pleasant that we subsequently heard received six offers, so perhaps the owners of this Mount Pleasant property will be as lucky. The four-bedroom Tudor has been very nicely renovated and includes an eat-in kitchen with silestone counters and bamboo floors, a cozy living room with a fireplace, and three great bedrooms including one that has a wall of windows and a separate study (see above). The property also a large back deck and a finished lower level. The open house is Sunday, October 25th from 1 to 4pm. For the full listing, click here.
1,800 Square-Foot Two-Bedroom Boutique Condo in Capitol Hill

1318 Constitution Avenue, #2 (see map here)
This two-bedroom condo is sort of out of character for Capitol Hill, a neighborhood known for its historic townhouses rather than its boutique condos. That said, this is a beautiful renovation of a row house and at 1,800 square feet is huge for a two-bedroom property. The living and kitchen area have an open, loft-like feel (see above), and if this is not enough living area for you, there is a finished lower level of the same size that could serve as an additional living room. The unit comes with a parking space, but it also just about a ten-minute walk from the Eastern Market Metro. The open house is Sunday, October 25th from 1 to 4pm. For the full listing, click here.

All of these look awesome. Unfortunately, my price range limits me to the first one (which may be the best of the three for the money!).
I don’t really consider 10 blocks to Metro walkable… or 10 minutes )
... but that could just be me
Cool looking study in the Hobart house.
Michael, that is just you.
