Church on Capitol Hill's Stanton Park Listed For Sale
609 Maryland Avenue NE
Church conversions in DC have become more and more prevalent in recent years, and now a property on Capitol Hill offers a new opportunity.
The church building at 609 Maryland Avenue NE (map), which has been home to a number of religious affiliations over the years, hit the market today for $5.9 million.
The church was built in the early 1890s as the Eastern Presbyterian Church, and then sold in 1956. Since then, it has been home to various religious congregations. Morning Star Community Development purchased the property in 2015. The building is being listed by Emily Ehrens of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty.
