Best New Listings: Logan Circle, Mount Pleasant and Del Ray

  • November 30, 2009

by Mark Wellborn

This week’s best new listings in the DC area include a high-end one-bedroom loft with parking in Logan Circle, a three-bedroom Tudor in Mount Pleasant that borders Rock Creek Park and a three-bedroom bungalow a few blocks from “The Avenue” in Del Ray.

Luxe One-Bedroom Loft (With Parking) in Logan Circle

image

1401 Church Street NW, #308 (map)

  • Price: $519,000
  • Bedrooms: One
  • Bathrooms: One
  • Square Footage: 860
  • Price per SF: $603
  • Year Built: 2005

This one-bedroom loft is in the Lofts 14 II development in Logan Circle. At 860 square feet, it is fairly large for a one-bedroom unit, and the wall of windows looking out on Church Street makes it feel even bigger. In addition to 11-foot ceilings, the unit has a fairly new kitchen and hardwood floors throughout. We can already hear the cries of dissent based on this price tag, but if you want a high-end one-bedroom unit with parking in this neighborhood, you should be prepared to drop around $500K. Three-Bedroom Tudor Bordering Rock Creek Park in Mount Pleasant

image

1807 Engleside Terrace NW (map)

  • Price: $699,000
  • Bedrooms: Three
  • Bathrooms: Three
  • Year Built: 1937

Some properties claim to have a park right outside their back door, but this three-bedroom Tudor in Mount Pleasant truly does. However, the proximity of Rock Creek Park is not the only feature worth mentioning about this home. This house is filled with various nooks and crannies, including a den off one of the bedrooms upstairs and a workshop (or office) and second living area in the basement. There is also a one-car built-in garage in the rear of the property. For the full listing, click here.

Three-Bedroom Bungalow A Few Blocks From the Avenue in Del Ray

image

16 West Windsor Avenue, Alexandria, VA (map)

  • Price: $749,900
  • Bedrooms: Three
  • Bathrooms: Two
  • Year Built: 1925

The bungalows of Del Ray have caught our attention again. This three-bedroom cottage has a small and cozy front porch (Del Ray is known for them) as well as three-car driveway, a fenced-in yard, and a dining room that the listing description claims is “large enough for 12.” For the full listing, click here.

I love those wood floors in 1401 Church Street. What kind of wood is that? Is it always that color or is it just a stain?
