Area Homes for the Offspring of DC's Power Set
Washingtonian’s Open House blog had an interesting post last week for those who like to know where the children of DC’s rich and powerful have purchased homes in the DC area.
Cate Edwards, daughter of former presidential candidate John Edwards, purchased a two-bedroom, five-bath property in Georgetown for $1.3 million. The Harvard law student decided to wait until her parents sold their $5.2 million mansion just around the corner before settling down in the neighborhood.
Racecar driver John W. Warner IV also calls Georgetown home. The son of former Virginia senator John Warner owns a $2.3 million, four-bedroom, five-bath property in the neighborhood.
The Washingtonian post also notes that Kara Kennedy, daughter of Ted, has a three-bedroom home in Bethesda and that John Breaux Jr., son of former Louisiana senator John Breaux, has a place in Arlington.
For all the real estate voyeurs out there interested in where current politicos are living, the New York Times had a piece in December that discussed, among other things, where the bigwigs in the new administration are settling.
