Back in 2023, Aria Development Group acquired a commercial building in Ballston with an eye towards redeveloping the site into a large residential project. Now, we are getting a sense as to what that new building will look like. The development team has filed plans with Arlington County for a 22-story, 302-unit apartment project with 72 parking spaces. The development, designed by Hickok Cole, will have retail on the ground floor as well as a pool and outdoor amenity deck on the 10th floor. As part of the plans, Aria has been working with the county on a new western entrance to the Ballston Metro station that will a part of the development.
