DC Living: An Independent Firm with a Legacy of Service
DC Living is a local, independent real estate firm with more than 15 years of commitment to the Washington DC community.
Skip and Debbie Singleton, Founders and Managing Partners of DC Living Real Estate, LLC, have a long history in real estate. Their early real estate ventures included designing and custom building their first home, and partnering to own and manage over a dozen investment homes in Florida.
In 1998, the team moved to Washington, DC. While Skip worked as an Intellectual Property lawyer at respected DC law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Debbie earned her real estate license and quickly became a Top Realtor at Re/Max Georgetown. Debbie’s real estate business thrived and, in 2001, Skip quit the law firm life to join Debbie in forming their own real estate firm.
Using his experience as a brand attorney for Fortune 100 companies (including the Redskins, Nike, Toyota and Lexus), Skip wanted to build his own brand. The duo chose the name DC Living: a representation of the modern lifestyle firm they envisioned, one created through technologies of a mobile world outside of a stale office environment.
As DC Living’s annual sales quickly grew to compete among the Top 1% of Realtors in the DC Metro area, the Singletons carefully brought in other top agents to join the firm, including Donna Brannon and Jason Skipworth. Donna came on board in 2004 and helped establish the firm’s now well-respected and thriving property management division. Agent Jason Skipworth joined the firm in 2009 and, while steadily growing the firm’s sales, has won numerous awards and accolades including the Washingtonian 2016 101 Best Real Estate Agents and Top Producer designation. In 2015, Jason and Donna became partners of the firm to share in the leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making on matters that impact the firm.
Long-time DC Living agents Ed Lichorat, Bill Reuther and Sarah Aschenbach also bring years of expertise to the dynamic boutique firm.
Today, DC Living is consistently ranked among the top 1% of all DC area Realtors and—though many independent real estate firms fold or merge with larger conglomerates—remains a leading independent real estate firm in the DC Metro area.
