DCHA Headquarters Redevelopment
The DC Housing Authority is currently negotiating a ground lease for its headquarters, a move that would give MRP Realty, CSG Urban Partners, and Taylor Adams Associates the right to redevelop the site. The project is expected to eventually deliver up to residential units, up to 228 of which would be set aside for households earning up to 60% of AMI. The affordable units would be prioritized for public housing residents displaced by nearby New Communities Initiatives developments. After the deal is executed, DCHA would lease the building back while a new headquarters is constructed elsewhere.
