In December 2025, the Arlington County Board approved JBG Smith's proposal to add 132 four-story townhome-style properties plus two mid-rise multifamily buildings — one of 102 units and one of 509 units — as the first phase of development at RiverHouse. Future phases at the 36-acre, 1,670-unit community bound by Army Navy Drive, South Joyce Street and South Lynn Street could add more than 2,000 new units to the project.
