GDS is seeking a special exception to consolidate its lower and middle schools, currently located at 4530 MacArthur Boulevard NW, with the existing high school at on Davenport Street NW. The new plan would construct a new four-story building on the surface parking lot next to the high school, and would also create a partially-below grade parking garage with a rooftop playing field. Gensler is the project architect. An earlier iteration of the plan included residential and retail. A newer version is significantly paired down, without residential or retail.
