Plans have been filed with DC's Historic Preservation Office to convert two rowhouses into an 11-story affordable development. The facades of the rowhouses would be restored while the rear addition and a portion of the main structure would be removed, and a new L-shaped addition would be constructed at the rear of the property. The H Street rowhouses are over a century old and part of the Capitol Historic Trust Easement. They were last occupied by a law firm but have been vacant for several years.
