As planned, the new development will include two new apartment buildings with retail and just north of 500 units, nine live/work townhomes, and a public park. The apartment buildings -- named The Martin and The Malcolm, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X -- will have a total of 152 affordable units for tenants earning below 60% area median income (AMI). The development will also have 23,000 square feet of neighborhood retail space and a large community park.
