NextGen Development filed plans with DC for the new 14 rowhouse development with a total of 26 residential units last fall. The complex includes a row of 10 new three-story rowhouses, each with one two-story, three-bedroom primary unit above a one-story,one-bedroom secondary unit. Eight of them are wheelchair accessible. The eleventh and twelfth rowhouses each include three-bedrooms. Two existing rowhouses at 1708 and 1710 First Street NE will be renovated to include rear additions to add a second unit to each, preserving the century-old original rowhouse fronts, including the existing porches. The new project will have a total of four inclusionary zoning units for households earning a maximum of 80% of Median Family Income (“MFI”).
