The home valuation website Zillow has tacked a value on the White House — and it’s big. The site estimates that the presidential residence is worth approximately $308 million and change, according to the Washington City Paper’s Housing Complex blog.
The factors that went into reaching this astronomical sum included the property’s 132 rooms, its 55,000 square feet of space, the 18 acres that it sits on and the fact that it has an underground bunker built to withstand a nuclear blast.
According to Housing Complex, the White House blows most of the other area competition out of the water:
“In September, the Evermay—a three acre property and historic mansion located in Georgetown—became the highest residential listing to ever go on the market in Washington D.C. The offering price: $49 million.”
