In Under Contract this week, we take a look at a couple of properties featured over the last week and a half that went under contract within days of hitting the market.

Entertaining Outdoors in Petworth

Under Contract: Petworth Deal of the Week, Baby Two-Bedroom Bungalow in Takoma Park: Figure 1

We selected this three-bedroom home in Petworth/Parkview as our Deal of the Week last week and it went under contract soon after that. The home has a great floorplan, a large master bedroom (the second and third bedrooms could be bigger), but the real draw is the back deck and very deep backyard that provides a great space to host warm weather get-togethers. Listed for $389,900, the home’s assessed value is approximately $35,000 more than that.

Four-Bedroom Town House With Great Landscaped Rear Patio

Under Contract: Petworth Deal of the Week, Baby Two-Bedroom Bungalow in Takoma Park: Figure 2

In our all Mount Pleasant edition of Best New Listings last week, we featured this four-bedroom, 22-foot wide town house. It went under contract on April Fools Day. In addition to an enormous dining room and a great back patio made for bbqs, the house has a large master bedroom and a loft-like office space on the third floor. The downside to the home is that it only has 1.5 bathrooms, so in order to make this fit for a family, the eventual owner will likely need to install one more bathroom.

Baby Two-Bedroom Bungalow in Takoma Park

Apparently we aren’t the only people that like the bungalows of Takoma Park. This baby two-bedroom property caught our eye because the living room above looks like it would’ve been the perfect place to be stuck in during Snowmaggedon. The home also has pine floors throughout, high ceilings, a new kitchen and a large back deck.
