Under Contract: Off the Market in 15 Days or Less
In Under Contract this week, we take a look at properties featured on UrbanTurf over the last two weeks that went under contract within 15 days of hitting the market.
Kalorama Two-Bedroom Townhouse Condo With Great Views
We selected this 1,255 square-foot two-bedroom unit for last week’s Best Open Houses and it went under contract just six days after being listed. The unit feels much more like a townhouse than your average condo, and the first level has high ceilings and a defined kitchen, dining room and living room. The private roof terrace offers wonderful views of Rock Creek Park. This is the only unit in this development that has a unique floorplan, and it is priced for approximately $60 less per square foot than a comparable unit in the complex that sold earlier this month.

Chef’s Special Near the H Street Corridor
This two-bedroom row house not far from the H Street Corridor was part of our Best New Listings feature a couple weeks ago, and the home went under contract at the end of April. The feature that stands out most in the home is a completely new and quite large kitchen that offers a lot of space for a buyer who likes to cook. There are windows throughout the property including bay windows in the master bedroom and living room, and in addition to a new central A/C system there is also a small back patio.

A Studio for $1,000 A Month
When we wrote about this Columbia Heights studio (which went under contract a few weeks ago) we admitted that it was not a unit for everyone, but a great opportunity for someone who was considering purchasing a small unit and had a fairly flexible time frame in which to buy. The unit was a short sale that was the most popular property on Redfin for a two-week period. It was listed for $30K less than what it sold for in 2005, and monthly payments (including taxes and fees) come out to just over $1,000.

- Price: $161,000
