(Reason: We were tipped off before it hit the market and didn’t have the link to the listing for about 36 hours.) We now know that the home is under contract for above its $549,000 listing price. Just a few blocks from Eastern Market, the property has a cozy main level with an open kitchen-living room and wood-burning fireplace. Both bedrooms and one full bath are on the second level, but the prized feature is the in-law suite on the lower level that could be rented out to help with mortgage payments.

When we featured this three-bedroom bungalow in American University Park in our Best New Listings feature, we indicated that we thought it was priced quite well, and someone felt the same way as it went under contract in less than a week. Part of an estate sale, the home has three levels, a nice front porch, a large backyard and a second level that has a den that could also serve as a fourth bedroom. The kitchen and bathrooms need to be renovated at some point down the road, but it is a good investment for a buyer that doesn’t mind putting in some work.

We featured this three-bedroom, three-bath penthouse in Logan Circle a few weeks ago and received a number of comments and emails from interested buyers. After a slight drop in price, the home is now under contract. In addition to over 1,700 square feet of interior space, the unit has an amazing 600 square-foot private terrace. The listing agent told UrbanTurf that over $200,000 worth of upgrades have been put into the unit by the current owners, a large amount of custom features considering the building was built in 2007.
