To The Dogs: New Deanwood Home Offers Main Level Pet Shower

A few years ago, rarely was a new apartment project announced in DC that didn't offer amenities for dogs, as well as residents. Now, pet-focused amenities are popping up on the main level of new single-family homes in the city.
A newly renovated five-bedroom home at 919 45th Place NE (map) in Deanwood comes equipped with a pet shower located directly next to the kitchen island.
"Sometimes the messier aspects of owning a dog can deter from the more appealing aspects of one’s home," listing agent Sally Anderson told UrbanTurf. "As a developer with 20 years of experience, Community Design Remodeling realized the convenience that this offers for our prospective buyers that have pets."

The pet shower station has all the same features of a regular shower, but the added benefit of HydroSurge, a powerful spray that separates pet hair and penetrates thick coats.
Anderson says that this won't be the last home that Community Design Remodeling with a main level pet shower: a new listing in Woodridge will offer the same amenity.
