This Week's Find: The Remodeled Home of Henry Kissinger

This Week's Find, draped in ivy, is a Georgetown townhouse that was once home to Henry Kissinger in the 1970s.

Since Kissinger's time, the three-bedroom home has undergone a few changes to modernize it. Most recently, the owners worked with architect Christian Zapatka to transform the kitchen from a galley style into a more open concept space with a large center island.

The primary suite on the top level of the house offers views of the Washington Monument, a walk-in closet and a large marble bathroom with a skylight. The second floor has 13-foot ceilings, a fireplace and French doors that open over the garden below.

Patio.

On the ground floor, there is a large family room with more French doors that open to the large back patio featuring established shrubbery for privacy and a fountain in the corner. Out front, the listing is recessed from the street which provides a noise buffer and room for parking on the cobblestone driveway.
