For those of us who aren’t pulling in the money for a multi-million dollar house, UrbanTurf sorted through the hundreds of more reasonably-priced listings featured on the site this year to come up with our favorite. The winner: a cozy one-story cottage in Silver Spring. 

Silver Spring has become one of the most popular locales for buyers looking for a relatively affordable single-family home. And this listing is prime example of that property type. 

With a carefully curated garden and a warm living space, the three-bedroom home along Dennis Avenue spent just three days on the market in May before selling at an $80,000 premium. A fireplace and white wood ceiling panels are found in the main room, and the corner dining room features a serving window connected to the kitchen and a back door leading to the large wood patio. At nearly 1,500 square feet, the home is also quite spacious for its approximately $660,000 purchase price.
