Even Hipper: Local Chef Buys in H Street Corridor

A local celebrity chef is joining the long-time residents, hipsters and young couples that call the H Street Corridor home.
The Washington Business Journal recently reported that Nicholas Stefanelli, executive chef at Italian eatery Bibiana, considered one of DC’s best new restaurants by some, bought a house north of H Street NE around the beginning of the year.
Stefanelli is a Beltsville, Md. native who worked as a sous chef at Maestro (now closed) in McLean and at restaurants in New York City prior to coming to Bibiana two years ago.

The four-bedroom house that Stefanelli purchased with his wife is located on 12th Street not far from local restaurant favorites Sticky Rice and Granville Moore’s. Like many other properties in the area, it was purchased last year and then the interior was completely renovated before it was put back on the market. Above are photos of the living room and the kitchen, the latter which we thought would be a bit bigger given the buyer.
