Woodwork and Two Sunrooms in Bloomingdale

This house underwent a renovation in 2006; as a result, the finishes and floors are crisp, the kitchen is on the gourmet side, and the bathrooms are freshly tiled. However, there are still a couple raw spaces, like an unfinished attic, that may be enticing to certain types of buyers. The warm, dark woodwork that frames the windows and doorways give the house a groundedness, and the two enclosed sunrooms were our favorite spaces.

Big Windows on Glover Park’s Main Drag

This one-bedroom condo is in The Sheffield, a 1984-built complex on Wisconsin Avenue. The building is right on the main drag of Glover Park, across the street from the Whole Foods and close to the restaurants and bars that fill the area. The interior has a slightly eighties vibe, with curvy light fixtures and cream colored appliances in the kitchen. The sizable square footage of this unit allows for a walk-in closet and comfortable bathroom.

Farm House in Brookland

In a city full of rowhouses, it’s always a treat to see a house with a completely different shape. With its oversized, peaked roof and cheerful yellow siding, we liked the uniqueness of this Brookland farm house. The three-bedroom home also has an in-law suite on the lower level. The new owners may want to do a bit of updating in the kitchen and bathrooms.
