Best New Listings: Forest Hills, Southwest and Chevy Chase
In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a Forest Hills one-bedroom with a bonus sun room, a three-bedroom in a Southwest complex designed by a renowned architect and a five-bedroom home in the Martin’s Addition section of Chevy Chase.
Forest Hills One-Bedroom With Bonus Sun Room
The bulk of square footage for this one-bedroom unit along Connecticut Avenue just west of the Forest Hills neighborhood is in the living area where the eventual buyer will likely spend most of their time. Our favorite feature, though, is the “bonus room” separated from the living room by French doors that has three windows and could serve as a small dining room or a den. For those with not a lot to put up for a down payment, the building is FHA approved. For the full listing, click here.

Southwest Three-Bedroom Designed By Renowned Architect
American architect Charles Goodman designed a number of projects in the DC area during his career including the original National Airport and the River Park co-op development in Southwest where this three-bedroom is located. The noteworthy features of the 1,400 square-foot listing are the floor-to-ceiling windows, the floating staircase and a small brick patio off the main living area. Many prospective buyers will likely balk at the monthly fees, but the listing price is appropriately discounted and the fees include taxes, utilities (minus electricity) and maintenance of the community’s pool and grounds. 1906 Five-Bedroom Four Square in Martin’s Addition
Last week, we profiled the Maryland neighborhood of Chevy Chase, an upscale suburb in the DC area. This five-bedroom home is located in the Martin’s Addition section of Chevy Chase, which hugs the DC border. While the interior will need to be updated eventually, the home has a lot of space and some very cool features including an enormous wrap-around front porch, a large back deck, a master bedroom with a wall of small windows, a walk-up attic with two built-in beds and an enormous half-acre backyard.
