In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a Columbia Heights condo full of exposed brick, a Takoma bungalow with a two-car garage, and a Kalorama mansion with an outdoor room.

Two-Bedroom Columbia Heights Condo Lined With Exposed Brick
This two-bedroom appears to take up one floor of a divided row house. As such, the unit is narrow, but cozy, with exposed brick running the entire length of the house and richly colored cherry hardwood floors. There are modern elements, like an updated kitchen and an audio system wired throughout the unit, and while the second bedroom is a little small, the master bedroom is spacious. The building where the unit is located is just around the corner from the main drag of Columbia Heights.

A Takoma Bungalow With a Two-Car Garage
Like its neighbor Takoma Park, Takoma DC is full of charming bungalows, and this four-bedroom on 9th Street fits into that category. The current owner grew up in the house, which still has original detailing like patterned windows and woodwork around the doors. The home is in good condition, with well maintained original pine floors and an updated kitchen. The living room is unusually large, taking up the entire width of the home, and the backyard is deep and grassy. A two-car garage sits next to the house.

An Outdoor Room in Kalorama
This Kalorama mansion will offer a lot to the eventual buyer: seven bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a four-car garage, and a slew of luxury details. But our favorite part of the house is the backyard, which has been developed into an outdoor room with split levels, walls and multiple seating areas. We also liked all the nooks and crannies in the bedrooms, and the master suite is inviting, with a rain shower and deep bathtub. There is also a two-bedroom apartment with a separate entrance on the home’s lower level.
