Best New Listings: Columbia Heights, Shepherd Park and Mount Pleasant
In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a Columbia Heights two-bedroom in the Verona Parc project, a four-bedroom home in Shepherd Park owned by the same family since 1929, and an enormous six-bedroom Mount Pleasant home.
Columbia Heights Two-Bedroom in the Verona Parc
This 1,078 square-foot two-bedroom unit is located on Euclid Street in the Verona Parc, a condo project built in 2005. UrbanTurf’s favorite aspect of the listing is the master bedroom, which has a glass block wall and a balcony with a small seating area. Like most projects built over the last decade, the condo has a bright combined living and kitchen area and high ceilings. While neither of the bedrooms are very large, there is also a den that could be used as a bedroom. The asking price includes a parking space behind the building.

Four-Bedroom Shepherd Park Home Owned By Same Family Since 1929
This is the first time that this four-bedroom house in Shepherd Park has been on the market since it was built in 1929. While it needs some overall renovations and the eventual owner will want to install central A/C at some point, the listing near Walter Reed sits on a massive lot, has a very cool looking finished third floor, and there is a detached two-car garage. For the price, it is hard to find homes this large in DC.

Enormous Six-Bedroom Mount Pleasant Arts and Crafts House
If you have ever driven past the intersection of 18th Street and Park Road in Mount Pleasant, you have probably caught a glimpse of this 4,300 square-foot home. The house stands out in an area known for row house after row house as it sits on a corner lot and has a large yard and a wraparound porch with stone pillars. Inside, the six-bedroom home has an oversized living room and an enormous master bedroom that has a private porch. There is also a table-space kitchen, a study, and a playroom. The listing price includes a carriage house in back of the property.
