In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, we look at a sub-$300,000 one-bedroom in Columbia Heights, an 1,100 square-foot Capitol Hill two-bedroom condo, and a three-bedroom bungalow in Del Ray.
One-Bedroom Unit Under $300,000 in Columbia Heights

This Columbia Heights one-bedroom sits about a five-minute walk from the neighborhood Metro station, and given the location it is a fairly good deal for under $300,000. The 610 square-foot unit has had its floors refinished and there are two original fireplace mantels in the living room and bedroom. Also, the large bay window offers some cool views of the church across the street. Because the building is not FHA-approved, the buyer will need to put at least 10 percent down, but the seller is willing to work with the buyer on financing, according to the listing agent. 1,100 Square-Foot Two-Bedroom Capitol Hill Unit

It is fairly hard to find a two-bedroom, two-bath listing in Capitol Hill these days for under $500,000, let alone under $450,000. While this two-bedroom will get knocked a bit for being on the ground level, the living area is very spacious and the 1,100 square feet are spread nicely throughout the unit. The master bedroom has custom closets, the kitchen has been redone and the unit itself is just about a three-minute walk from Stanton Park. For the full listing, click here.

A Del Ray Bungalow Traditional of the Neighborhood

A bungalow in Del Ray has caught our attention again. This 1920’s three-bedroom, two-bath home is located on a quiet street not far from the northern Virginia neighborhood’s main thoroughfare, known as The Avenue. Like a lot of bungalows in the area, the listing has a large front porch and hardwood floors and trim throughout. However, the rear of the property is the most intriguing part of this listing as there is a good-sized slate patio with stairs that lead up to a large narrow deck and then yet one more deck with space for chairs and a small screened-in section for when the bugs get bad.
