Amazon Fresh to Open Chevy Chase Lake Store on September 1

An opening date has been set for the next Amazon Fresh coming to Montgomery County.
Robert Dyer reported on Friday that the anchor retail tenant of the new Chevy Chase Lake development will open on September 1. The new outpost will be one of the largest Amazon Fresh store in the region.

"This will be the first Amazon Fresh store in Montgomery County to feature the company's Just Walk Out payment technology," according to Dyer.
Chevy Chase Lake is a transit-oriented project in the process of delivering near a future Purple Line station southeast of Connecticut Avenue and Manor Road (map). The first phase, helmed by EYA, Bozzuto, and the Chevy Chase Land Company, includes nearly 600 residential units and 87,000 square feet of commercial space; 62 townhouses have already delivered and three multi-family buildings are in the last stretch of construction, including 65 Ritz-Carlton residences.
