A 250-Unit Apartment Building Pitched Just North of Nats Park
Another large new apartment building is on the boards near Nats Park.
The Ruben Companies has filed plans for a 248-unit apartment building at 1100 South Capitol Street SE (map) just north of Nationals Park and adjacent to St. Vincent de Paul church. The 130-foot tall building was designed by Eric Colbert & Associates and Robert A.M. Stern Architects.

The building will have 162 parking spaces, as well as a courtyard with various outdoor "rooms", and a rooftop pool.
The original plans for this address were for a new 350,000 square-foot office building, but The Ruben Companies has switched gears to residential. The newly proposed building is part of a handful of new developments recently pitched around Nats Park, including a 671-unit development with retail and a large waterfront park.
