Silver Spring

Located 800-feet from the Silver Spring Metro and the proposed Purple Line, Falkland North will include new rental apartments, a grocery store and restaurants on a 9.77 acre site. The apartments are planned to be larger studio, one, two and three bedroom units. 60,000 to 75,000 square feet of retail including a TBD grocer are planned. Improved street scape and 15’ shared-use path which is part of the county-wide bike trail system and a new 1-acre public park on the south parcel are planned. Developer Home Properties, who purchased the property in 2003, is planning about 300 affordable units with the remainder market rate.
