Capitol Riverfront

Planned unit development along the Anacostia River in the Capitol Riverfront totaling 1.1 million sq. ft. of residential, commercial and retail space designed to achieve LEED Certification. Developer Florida Rock Properties plans 80k sq. ft. of retail, 545k sq. ft. of office, 275 residences and 325 hotel rooms. RiverFront’s waterfront esplanade and three major public spaces aim to attract baseball season crowds from the adjacent National's Park and serve the varied shopping and service needs of residents, office workers, and visitors from around the region. Construction is expected to start in 2013.
