The Madison

Old Town

The Madison is a 360-unit apartment building with approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of street level retail. The project will occupy a city block near the Braddock Road Metro in Old Town bounded by Rt. 1, Madison and N. Fayette Streets and private alley to the north. The original plan for The Madison included a Harris Teeter grocery store, but the store pulled out in 2007 and has now chosen to open at 50,000+ sq. ft. store at a new apartment project just blocks away at Madison & St. Asaph Streets. Trammell Crow has partnered with Equity Residential to develop The Madison. Site demolition commenced in September 2011 with construction expected to start in November.
